Create, edit and delete tree nodes


Create node

There are many way to create new tree node(s). See features of them below:

Insertion feature Description
New node Adds new node at end of current level and activates an edit mode.

To execute this command choose "Tree/New Node" from main menu or correspond button on the toolbar. Alternately you can press "F11" key on the keyboard.
New Subnode Adds new node at end of descendant level and activates an edit mode.

To execute this command choose "Tree/New Subnode" from main menu or correspond button on the toolbar. Alternately you can press "F12" key on the keyboard.
Insert Before Selected Inserts new node before selected and activates an edit mode.

To execute this command choose "Tree/Insert Node/Insert Before Selected" from main menu. Alternately you can press "Shift-F11" key combination on the keyboard.
Insert After Selected Inserts new node after selected and activates an edit mode.

To execute this command choose "Tree/Insert Node/Insert After Selected" from main menu. Alternately you can press "Ctrl-F11" key combination on the keyboard.
Insert Text From File... Inserts the set of nodes.

Shows "Open File" dialog after choosing "Insert/Text From File..." main menu command and inserts bulk strings contains in file as tree nodes.
Paste Inserts previously copied node before selected node.

To execute this command choose "Edit/Paste" from main menu.

Edit node

To edit node title first select it then choose "Tree/Edit Node" from main menu or correspond button on the toolbar. Alternately you can press "F2" key on the keyboard.

To change node state click left mouse button on the node picture then select desired state from pop-up menu.

To change node picture choose "Tree/Select Picture" from main menu.

Also you can choose "Tree/Node Properties" from main menu and change title, state, picture, and get statistic for selected node in correspond dialog.

Delete node

To delete node first select it then choose "Tree/Delete Node..." from main menu or correspond button on the toolbar. Alternately you can press "Ctrl-Del" key on the keyboard. After deletion confirmation selected node will be deleted with all children and card data. You may disable deletion tree nodes which have children with marking up "Disable folder deletion" (choose command "Tree/Disable Folder Deletion" from main menu).
