Generate Web Site for Few Clicks
Irrespective of the fact which you have created a tree, you can want to publish it to WEB. FreshOutline permits to publish every created tree outline to WEB for few clicks using one of any nice design templates. Let's see how this work.
If you open FreshOutline's examples you will see file "Recipes". Let open it and try to publish its data to WEB.
As article's title promises we will generate our recipes as WEB site for few clicks. First we need to click menu item "File/Export and Publish/Publish to HTML...". It will open dialog named "Publish to HTML". All work will be done using this dialog. Its picture you can see below.
We possible need to set any options. More of them already has correct settings (all settings will be stored to use in future). We can use UTF coding or one of single byte coding (need to select from dropped down list) - see group "Encoding".
Then we need to define origin source - all tree items, selected tree items, recurse all subitems or not - see group "Origin".
Dropped down list of group "Template" lets you choose desired site design template. There are seven templates now. Also you can develop your own templates. We will use "2003 Olive" template.
"Home page URL" defines link address that plases on top of each page. There is a big reason to assign th root of your own site if it is exists.
Your site will be generated to "Target folder".
OK. All options are correct. What we need to do now? Of course only one: click on "Publish" button. FreshOutline will generate your site and will show it in your web browser if you have checked flag "View HTML data after publishing".
And what we have done? Please see here your site of Recipes!Now you can get web site for any other data you have organized by FreshOutline.
Note: selected tree item will be a home page of your generated site. So you must to select need tree item before opening publishing dialog window.
